What we love about this stay
It's the between-ness that gets you — the way Elbow Cay is so narrow that you can walk from the sheltered turquoise of the Sea of Abaco to the full Atlantic thunder in minutes, and how the inn sits right on that spine, belonging to both waters and neither. Nothing here performs. The sun-bleached wood and louvered shutters and ceiling fans turning overhead feel less like design choices and more like inevitabilities, the kind of aesthetic that happens when a place has simply made peace with its climate. The scale is intimate enough that the bartender learns your drink, and the dining terrace faces west into sunsets that apparently refuse to repeat themselves. You're close enough to Hope Town's candy-striped lighthouse and picket-fence lanes to feel the Loyalist history woven into the cay, but the inn itself holds you in a quieter register — pool terrace dissolving into horizon, hammocks catching the trade winds, hours that refuse to announce themselves. APR 2025This place is great. Tom is an amazing manager, and the staff are super friendly. The food is a little pricey but so is everywhere else on the island. Now there are no tv's in the villas but there is one at the bar. Everything is on island time except for the Ferry.
