What we love about this stay
Request a bay-facing room with a balcony — the difference between a garden view and watching the sky turn molten over Florida Bay at golden hour is everything here. Casa Morada is small enough that the pool never feels crowded, but mornings before nine are when you'll have it almost entirely to yourself, with just the sound of water and palm fronds. Don't skip the bar in the early evening; the cocktails lean on local citrus and Key lime, and whoever's mixing knows what they're doing. For a day trip, book a snorkel at Pennekamp early — afternoon slots get choppy. This place rewards you for slowing down, not filling an itinerary.

Stayed here for two nights in June and truly had a great experience. loved meeting the two local cats on the property and using the bikes, the pool, and enjoying the views. Perfect location and perfect intimate experience

Stayed here May 2024 and had the best time! We were so lucky to find a room at this special oasis. The garden view room was delightful. We loved the intimate feel of this resort. The free bikes and kayaks were perfect for us. The location is fantastic with tons of walkable restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was very clean. The private island was such a sweet bonus with the sunset bar. We can't wait to visit again!! The landscape designer deserves an award. Although the place isn't huge, the way it's laid out makes it feel extremely private.

I decided to spend my 40th Birthday here with my wife and it was amazing! The rooms the location the atmosphere EVERYTHING was perfect it was an unforgettable birthday and I will definitely be back here! The staff was super helpful and accommodating the sunset sail boat cruise was super romantic and unforgettable, it’s included kayaks, paddle boards and bikes are a nice addition to enjoy your stay plus there’s several restaurants walking distance witch it was a nice touch if you want to have a couple of drinks and don’t have to worry about driving back, in all our stay was perfect and I would definitely recommend this little patch if heaven if you want to spend quality time with your wife, partner or friends!!

This place is a true gem! It feels more like a home away from home than a codo in the Keys. Please don't go there, I don't want it to get too crowded. LOL. The little details seperate Casa from the rest. In the rooms they provide flash lights, plenty of linens, umbrellas, bedside mood lighting, retro fridge, 2 large TV's, nice coffee maker, hair drier and a large shower with pleny of hot water with water pressere! I'm sure I missed a few. The campus is perhaps the most appealing aspect of the stay. The landscape provides privacy through wandering paths of greenery and blossom littered with sitting areas, hammock, benches, etc. Very well done and just plain cool. The best part is the waterfront "island" where you can watch the sunset from the pool or bar where Samantha will whip you up a memorable island cocktail. You might try the special seltzer to enhance the evening glow. Other tidbits: Parking is plentiful. The office can provide additional coffee, paper towels, cold beverages, whatever and a lazy cat that wanders the grounds, rent a cat, free of charge. Yes, Casa is puppy friendly with free poop station and bags. All dogs matter! Adriana, Jackie and Samantha are there to help and are part of what makes Casa "home." All the staff are island friendly and salt of the earth good folks. As mentioned, please do not go to Casa Morada and have a fantastic stay. It will get too crowded.

This place is a hidden gem. We stayed here for a couple nights on our way out of the keys and it was just lovely; so quiet and pretty! Very romantic place to stay, we will be back!
