What we love about this stay
Ask for a room with a deck facing the tree line — sunset turns the Hill Country gold around seven, and you'll want to be sitting outside with a drink when it happens. Mornings are for the wildlife; grab coffee early and post up near the garden before the property wakes up. The driving range is a surprisingly satisfying way to kill an afternoon, especially if you're not up for a full round somewhere else. Don't bother rushing to Lake Travis right away — the lodge grounds reward a slow first day. The individually furnished rooms mean each one has its own character, so if you're particular, ask the front desk what's available and choose in person. My husband and I exchanged our electronics for hiking, reading , eating outdoors and get alone time. Accommodations were comfortable, nicely decorated and clean. Staff was courteous and quick to respond to our questions.We missed meeting the hotels bovine mascots, Elvis and Presley. So perhaps on a future visit we will have the pleasure. Our quiet time at The Missing Hotel was unique, fun and unforgettable.

Was a great trip that let us have a nice relaxing weekend to enjoy nature and unplug. It’s close by to nice towns and places to visit, all within 20min. The cows are great, a must visit to check them out. With yard games, hiking trails and hot tub in unit for amazing star gazing. This place is a must visit.

Amazing glamping experience in a beautiful location. My husband & I did a weekend stay to celebrate our anniversary & it was perfect. We stayed in Sabi—one of the domes: comfy bed, great temp control (especially for summer), beautiful decor, well laid out floor plan with great use of the space. The attention to details was superb! The patio with the dipping pool & grill was perfect for preparing our meals & relaxing. We took a couple of ice chests & managed to cook tasty, easy food on our patio. The Blackstone grill was not working when we arrived but with one text message, the onsite crew was there & fixed it for us. Very private even though there are other domes in the area. The dipping pool felt amazing after hiking around on the property. I highly recommend hiking the trails for some amazing views & added bonuses. The yard games area was super fun & well stocked with many different yard games. We even took advantage of the driving range on top of the hill. We will definitely return for another stay as it was just what we needed to disconnect from work/tech & reconnect with each other in a beautiful space!

My husband and I stayed at the Trouvay for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We were blown away by how cozy and relaxing it is. We had plans to leave and explore other places in the area but we both decided we loved it there so much we didn’t want to leave. We did bring enough food and drinks for the whole weekend so we were happy. I learned all about forest bathing but most importantly my husband and I didn’t have to worry about anything except being together. You really have to be there to truly understand the peacefulness this place has. A cooler full of food is all you really need to truly have an amazing time. We are already looking forward to our next trip even though it 4 hours away from home.

The best view from the dome and the cows were so gorgeous. I just love the peace and quiet. Nature sure is amazing. Everything was wonderful inside the dome. No complains! The price was great for one night and restaurants aren’t that far away.
