What we love about this stay
Claim the loft — it's the spot most people overlook, but sleeping at the highest point of the treehouse, with nothing between you and the canopy, is the whole point of being here. Set an alarm for ten minutes before sunrise and take your coffee to the deck; the light filters through the branches in layers, and the forest wakes up around you in a way that feels almost choreographed. Bring groceries and cook in — the kitchen is legitimately excellent, and a quiet dinner with those floor-to-ceiling windows going dark around you beats any restaurant. The treehouse was incredible! We only stayed for one short night, but we’re already talking about when we can come back to enjoy more of Lake Samish. Gorgeous views of the mountains from every window, great patios to sit and have a glass of wine, and a beautiful interior. It was easy to feel right at home, and what a unique stay!
