What we love about this stay
Head straight to the rooftop terrace around golden hour — the light hitting Midtown's glass towers from above is a completely different New York than the one at street level. At Parker and Quinn, skip the dining room and grab a seat at the bar; the energy is better and the bartenders know their way around an off-menu old fashioned. Request a higher-floor room facing west if you can — the Frette linens are the same everywhere, but sunset through floor-to-ceiling windows earns the upgrade. Mornings, duck into the lobby coffee shop before nine, when it's still quiet and the espresso is genuinely good. The Garment District location won't wow you on paper, but it puts you within walking distance of Broadway, Herald Square, and Korean barbecue on 32nd — all without the Times Square circus. Done right, this hotel feels like a local's secret tucked inside a city that rarely keeps them.

Great room and great service. Very accommodating and helpful staff. The 3 restaurant/bars are all great and offer different vibes. I thought the value was great for what we paid (we did the breakfast voucher that worked great). The location felt very safe and was walkable to some major tourist/non-tourist stuff. Everything was kept very clean.

We always have such a wonderful time staying at the Refinery in NYC. From the moment you walk through the doors in the lobby, the warmth and smell is so comforting and welcoming. Rooms are always clean. Staff is wonderful! The hotel is very walkable to a lot of NYC hotspots.

very noisy room. even at the 11th floor you feel like on the street. the windows do not isolate from the overall noise of NY. A part of that the room size is quite good , furniture are old and we are far away from a 5 stars hotel
