What we love about this stay
The Marlton is a Greenwich Village play done right — small rooms, enormous atmosphere. Request a higher-floor room facing west; the light in late afternoon turns the herringbone floors amber and makes the compact space feel cinematic. Mornings, skip the rush and come down to the restaurant around 9:30 when the breakfast crowd thins and the sun hits the front windows at its best angle. Evenings, grab a seat near the lobby espresso bar before dinner — it doubles as a quiet cocktail perch most guests walk right past. Pack one sharp outfit; the candlelit restaurant rewards it. A perfect little cosy stop in New York. Lovely hotel and always our go-to when visiting New York - cosy, friendly and low-key. The staff can’t do enough to help you. Sadly, someone was smoking in the room next door to us and they moved us to a different floor immediately with no back and forth! So happy to have this place to come and rest in while in New York.

Our stay was lovely and comfortable. We loved it. The hotel was beautiful. We loved all the complimentary snacks in our room. The breakfast being right down stairs in the mooring was also excellent.

Amazing, warm, friendly atmosphere with staff who were exceptional. The hotel is buzzing, it’s a meeting place for professionals as well as a cosy spot for guests. In winter it was perfect
