What we love about this stay
Request a higher-floor room facing the Village streets — the art deco detailing feels more pronounced in the corner units, and you'll catch golden afternoon light that makes the bespoke furnishings glow. Don't sleep on dinner at Society Cafe; Chef Zabita's market-driven menu shifts constantly, so ask your server what arrived that morning rather than defaulting to what sounds safe. Grab a seat at the bar afterward, ideally the far end near the wall where the lighting is moodiest and the bartenders tend to get more conversational with their pours. Mornings, skip the rush and walk to Washington Square Park before nine — the arch in early light with no crowds is a different city entirely. This hotel rewards you most when you slow down and lean into its 1920s rhythm rather than treating it as a launching pad.

The hotel is in a really nice, and convenient, location. There's plenty of places to walk and eat around, even late at night. The staff was very kind, and friendly. As others had mentioned, the rooms were fairly small, but that's New York. Everything felt well maintained, specifically very clean. Some of the wallpaper was peeling in the room, but that wasn't the end of the world. The lobby always felt very lively, with jazz students coming to play seemingly every night. Very enjoyable atmosphere, and I'd happily stay here again.

We were a little apprehensive of after booking and read the reviews. I think that there is a lot of good things about this hotel so I will start there. 1- the rooms are small, but well appointed bathrooms are good size and the bed is very comfortable. We stayed in the winter so the comments about the air-conditioning. We could not adjust, but the rooms are comfortable in temperature. 2-the location is great although we are walkers and we walk all over Manhattan. I love being in Greenwich Village. They're great bars and restaurants all around and really close by so you don't have to venture far. There's shopping just a few blocks away as well so you can stay away from the Times Square downtown mayhem if you want 3- they give you free water as many bottles as you want and there's complementary snacks in the room. You do get a $20 credit towards a restaurant. 4- our first impression of the restaurant was not great because the service wasn't so great but the food is amazing and once we did get service, the service was good. It just took him a while to come to our table, but I highly recommend this place for breakfast

WOW! Great hotel, great staff, and great management! Hotel breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had! The management corrected a miscommunication over breakfast quickly. Lillian handled our reservation over the phone, she truly cares for her guests. Everyone working there was so kind. The environment was warm and welcoming, the other guests were polite and friendly. Great location near subway. We usually stay in Times Square, but will be staying here from now on!

A wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. Very impressed that 10 minutes after entering our room we received a phone call from the front desk making sure everything was ok with our room and reassuring us that should we need anything there was always someone at the front desk 24 hours. The breakfast was delicious! I think the best omelette I've ever had.
